It's All Over Now?

Is the title race over already? It is too early to say it is.  Manchester City remain unbeaten in the league  and are currently 11 points clear of second placed Manchester United. However, they are about to play a side that took 4 points off them last season. Spurs travel to Manchester having won their last 3 matches. We can't forget either that City have won their last 15 in the Premier League.
There will be a crucial match towards the bottom of the table between Stoke and West Ham who have already beaten Chelsea and drawn with Arsenal this week.

Derby

Two of the biggest derbies of the season will take place on Sunday. Liverpool face Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield, while 2nd placed Manchester United will host leaders Manchester City.

77 Days

This week Frank De Boer lost his job as Crystal Palace manager after just 77 days in charge.
This weekend former England manager Roy Hodgson, who has replaced De Boer will take charge of his first game for Palace at home to Southampton.
Also in London Spurs will be seeking their first Premier League victory at Wembley against Swansea, while Chelsea who usually beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, will play Arsenal at home.
Elsewhere both Romelu Lukaku and Wayne Rooney will probably play against their former clubs when Manchester United face Everton at Old Trafford.

Final Day

This Sunday the 2016/2017 Premier League season will finish. Chelsea will win the league. Spurs will finish second. Hull, Middelsbrough and Sunderland will be relegated. The Premier League returns after last weekend's FA Cup action. The manager of last season's champions Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri, was sacked on Thursday. Ranieri's sacking was a reflection of the modern world in football. Time will tell if his departure will lead to Leicester surviving in the top flight of English football.
